Castelmezzano is not just a village, it is a living organism of stone that “breathes.”
The natural light striking the spires of the Dolomitic rocks in the Lucanian landscape composes a different score every day, built from layers of sounds from the past—footsteps, prayers, and wind. This open call invites multimedia artists, electronic composers, and visual artists to investigate the relationship between the village’s ancestral rituality and new immersive technologies.
Traditions, silences, and natural rhythms: digital language aims to make audible what is invisible, translating the mountain’s forms into sound algorithms and luminous projections. The artistic research, oriented toward co-creation and co-production of multimedia content, seeks to delve into both the sonic and visual dimensions.
